Clifford J. DeCuir - Director
Cliff is a retired Contract Administrator from PG&E Company and Secretary of the Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley. He is the Secretary of the Foundation.
Dennis Giacovelli - Director
Dennis Giacovelli has just recently retired after being self-employed for 50 years with The Houseworks, a Residential Design/Build firm. He is a Navy veteran, having served in the Brown Water Navy in Vietnam. Dennis is currently President of the Viet Nam Veterans of Diablo Valley, and on the boards of the All Wars Memorial Foundation and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 75. He is also Chair of Operating Committee and a Trustee of the Veterans Memorial Building of San Ramon Valley as well as serving on many committees within veteran organizations. He is co-chair of his Vietnam boat group, The STABS, which still has reunions every other year. Dennis was born and raised in San Francisco, and currently lives in Danville with his wife Dianne. Their daughter resides near Boston, MA.
Janine Hollenbeck - Director
Janine is currently the Chief of Plans/Emergency Management Specialist for the Defense Coordinating Element, Region 9 in Oakland, California (US Northern Command) and is a Department of Defense liaison for the Arizona, California, and Nevada inter-agency community. Janine served as an active and reserve army logistics officer for a dozen years, supporting missions in Bosnia, Kuwait and Iraq before transitioning a Homeland Defense civilian position. Janine has lived in the Bay Area for over twenty years and is active in California Women in Homeland Security, The American Legion other local service organizations.
Mary P. O’Donnell - Director
Rear Admiral Mary P. O’Donnell, (Ret.), US Coast Guard, was commissioned on April 13, 1973. Her assignments have included both traditional Coast Guard operational missions and six years of experience in the join service environment of expeditionary warfare.
Rear Admiral O'Donnell is a graduate of Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education. Staying with the Big 10 schools, she attended both Michigan State University, graduating with a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature, and the University of Michigan's School of Business, completing a course of study in Strategic Human Resources Planning. She also attended Golden Gate University, completing the course work for a Master of Public Administration and has attended the Naval War College, the National Defense University, and completed the CAPSTONE program for flag officers and general officers.
Michael Slattengren - Director
Slatts retired after 41 years from AT&T as a Sr. Technical Director. He now volunteers his time with various veteran activities and other charitable organizations.
Scott Whitacre - Director
Scott is currently a Senior Director in Procurement with Kaiser Permanente (KP) with extensive experience in contract negotiation and management. His responsibility is leading Technology Products and Services Agreements at KP with an annual budget of $390M. Throughout his career in Procurement, he has assumed increasing responsibility in leadership positions across various industries. He has participated in numerous Stand Down’s across the greater Bay Area and and is a past Regional Co-Chair for KP Veterans Association of Northern California.
Scott possesses an MBA from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. He served in the Marine Corps as both Enlisted and an Officer.
Ronald L. Lowe - Director Emeritus
Ron is a retired Major General of the United States Army and Board Member of the Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation. Major General Lowe is the Past President of the Foundation.
